MICOROX® STORAGE STRUCTURE FLOORING
MICOROX® Storage Structure Flooring (SSF) is a 100% solids epoxy based floor resurface trowel-applied at approximately 1/4 inch thickness. The Micorox SSF floor is a long term, high performance alternative to steel floors in storage structures. Micorox SSF will not buckle under pressure, eliminating the danger of contaminating feed with steel filings.
MICOROX® SSF bonds securely to concrete surfaces, forming a secure seal and preventing the deterioration of stored materials. It is ideal for installation in corn and forage units.
In addition, MICOROX® SFF is odorless during installation and cure. No styrene odor helps speed installations and insure safety for the installers.
MICOROX® SSF is conveniently packaged with pre proportioned batches of wear resistant, high strength aggregate tillers to eliminate the inconvenience of field measuring and weighing.
The surface of MICOROX® SSF is resin rich, dense and easily cleaned. Moisture and liquids cannot penetrate the pinhole-free texture of the floor to detract from the long lasting, secure bond.
MICOROX® SSF features superior physical strengths and resistance to corrosive attack for long range, cost effective high performance and durability.

DIRECTIONS FOR APPLYING MICOROX© SSF FLOORS INTO CONCRETE SILO BASES
I. Floor Preparation
Since silo floors usually contain no grease or oily coating, two general methods of concrete preparation work well,
A. Sand Blasting: Blast to white, clean concrete. Remove all dust and loose particles. Concrete should
be white and porous in appearance. No dust should be evident when wiping the fingers over the
concrete. Dust must be vacuumed out completely or floor rinsed thoroughly and dried.
B. Acid Etching: 3 gallons of 36% muriatic acid, a 5 gallon pail (plastic), a stable broom, good water
pressure (a high pressure washer is preferred), a 2-3 foot flexible squeegee, a good wet vacuum, a high
volume fan. Apply acid to silo floor previously scraped and swept of dirt and silage. Mix 1 gallon of
acid to 3-3 1/3 gallons of water in 5 gallon pail. Always add acid to water. Spread onto floor and
broom vigorously. Acid should foam upon initial contact with floor. No foaming indicates a foreign
substance on the floor which must be removed………………..READ MORE IN THE SPECIFICATIONS PDF.
Application
A. Old Concrete Floor: The SSF polymer system is designed to self-prime. This is the reason why it is important to have the correct type and amount of aggregate. Adding too much and/or too fine an aggregate can result in too dry a mix. This can prevent proper wetting of the concrete and poor adhesion. The self-priming feature reduces your costs by eliminating the need to buy and apply an additional primer. (The proper aggregate mix also has a major influence in the ease of troweling of our epoxy system.)………………………….READ MORE IN THE SPECIFICATIONS PDF
